There are many designs of kurtas which are in fashion, you can put buttons or broach on kurtas, and you can even have a pocket to give a western touch in it. Pleats on the kurtas look very elegant and simple. Kurtas are very much demand, the style which is seen everywhere is called color blocking in kurtas, it looks very classy. You can even design a kurta by taking a printed fabric and use it as a back and keep the front of the kurta plain.

Other styles which can be worn on Bakra Eid are frocks. Frocks are still in fashion and are the trendiest outfit for festive occasions like Eid. Frocks give a very traditional look if worn with the choridars.

The new style which is seen in a frock is named as an Angrakha style frock, it is very much in fashion these days and young girls can easily carry it. Full length frocks gives a very western touch, it looks you are wearing long maxis. You can do a lot in frock, from laces to embody to buttons everything is in fashion. Its Eid so don’t make a very heavy frock keep it simple so that you wear it afterwards on some party or dinner.

Other than simple strait shirts are also back with caprice. They look very elegant and chic. Straight shirts are for those who want to look different because this fashion is just new and many people are not following it.

Woman above 30 can wear plain saris or Shalwar Kameez, they will look more decent in it. For Bakra Eid all the women and girls should wear those clothes which make them look different and beautiful.

Secrets from an Asian Spa

secrets,acient spa,spa

The concept of a flawless, porcelain complexion is an Asian staple. When we think of East Asia, we think ofdelicate beauties sporting gleaming complexions too luminous to be real. When I was growing up, the “how” of them managing to look this way was always settled with the assumption, “they have good genes”.

However when I came to Malaysia for university, I realized that along with being stunning, Asian women are also generous in sharing their beauty secrets. And the secrets are easy to learn, perfect and reap benefits from.

These simple steps are my favorite nuggets of wisdom from Asian women, which I think can transform your kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom into an Asian spa!
Slap it on!

Popular amongst Koreans is the concept of patting on moisturizer with gentle pressure. Literally, apply the product onto your face and then gently slap (gently, if you whack yourself across the face, it will bruise!) until it’s absorbed completely. This method brings blood rushing to the surface, leading to a brighter complexion. The warmth and pressure of your hands also means that the product absorbs better, which means that it won’t clog your pores (particularly beneficial if you have oily skin.)
Feed your skin:

Asian skincare brands often market the concept of beauty products based on food (“Skin food” for example). In your kitchen, you can achieve this without spending a fortune on face cream. Incorporate these easy practices into your daily regime for a healthier body and skin.

Snack on raw, unpeeled cucumbers (chop them very finely to avoid an overpowering bitterness from the peel). The silica in the peel is a natural anti-aging miracle often used by billion-dollar brands. Cucumbers are also diuretics, which in layman language mean they help you go to the toilet more often and hence flush (literally) the waste from your body.

Take a handful of rice and soak it in water (tap water is fine just make sure the water is an inch above the rice). After a minute or two, the water will turn cloudy, separate it from the rice and put it in the fridge. Once it’s cold, splash your face with it after cleansing and let it air dry. Pit era, which is naturally found in rice, is a huge Asian beauty phenomenon (Google “SK 2 miracle water”). It is a natural skin brightener and helps clear the skin, it really helped with my acne.
5 minute facial:

Facials have been turned into a luxury, but Japanese women have been giving themselves these easy at-home massages for centuries.

For under eye circles put your first and second fingers together (make the ‘dosti’ gesture, if you’re from Pakistan!) and press them into the sides of the nose near the inner corners of your eyes, press with gentle pressure moving to the under eye area and finally to the outer corner of your eyes pressing gently each time and repeat up to five times.

For a healthy glow and brighter eyes, pull your ears upwards, you’ll feel your ears getting warmer (this is proof of blood circulation). Hold them for 30 seconds each time, release and then repeat. As this is so simple and beneficial, on days when I have little time to spare, I do only this for a couple of minutes right before my classes.

Finally for a slimmer face, put your hands on your cheek and gently push your cheeks back to your ears until your hand reaches the ear itself, then bring your hands down your neck. The idea is to first push all the waste to your ear, and then slide it down your neck so that your face has a more angular appearance.

Doing all three daily for five minutes really helps.
Hot and cold:

Possibly the simplest tip, when washing your face wash with lukewarm water first and then follow up with splashing your face with ice-cold water. Similar to steaming your face, warm water allows the pores to open and the dirt to be cleared more vigorously. The cold water then closes your pores and brings the blood to the surface of your skin, leading to a brighter and naturally moisturized complexion. I do this every time I wash my face, it doesn’t really take that long and it is great for days when your skin looks dull.
Tea junkie!

Lastly, incorporate teas into your diet (“chai” doesn’t count!) Chinese women love drinking a variety of teas including Ginseng, Oolong, Chrysanthemum and “white” tea. Many of these are unfortunately not available in Pakistan. But try this simple recipe; boil together a handful of Jasmine tealeaves, an inch of ginger and a handful of mint leaves. This blend gives you a boost of skin clearing and healing anti-oxidants and is great for digestion. Alternatively, look for oriental teas in your local super market to see if any of the pre-mentioned varieties are available

HSY at PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2013

HSY’s ‘A Tribute’ was a collection that paid homage to the independence, beauty and confidence of women featuring three unique segments: Vaneeza, Mehreen and Reema who were the collection’s inspiration and showstoppers respectively.

Fluid silhouettes with an accent on structure at the hipline and detailed dart manipulated corseting and blouses, with a strong emphasis on silk velvets, diaphanous chiffons, delicate tissue and hand woven jacquards that created a look that was luxurious and opulent. Intricate handicraft and age old techniques had been revived for a bride who appreciates the richness of her heritage.

The collection was a study of surface embellishments and textures that encompassed stitches from every province across the nation, such as pitta, gota, pippal girah, long girah, marori, Kashmiri tanka, crystals, mukesh, naqshi ganta, applique, hyderabadi phool, khichwa tanka, chawal tanka and paarsi gara. The collection incorporated the use of three strong colour themes which were showcased during three individual segments on the ramp; classic HSY Rouge; fresh luminous corals and hues of bright and oxidized golds; and daring midnight blues.

For this collection, HSY had collaborated exclusively with Ahmad Haroon Khan, who had designed jewellery inspired by the Nizam of Hyderabad and Queen Noor Jehan to complement the collection. Each individual ornament in the accompanying collection was handcrafted in silver with gold formation and featured precious and semi-precious stones. Make-up looks for HSY’s collection showcase were created exclusively by L’Oréal Paris. Musician Junaid Khan also walked the ramp for HSY’s collection showcase segment, Mehreen.

Healthy Eating for School-age Children

Healthy Eating,School Children,

The availability of junk food all around the globe is so huge that it is quite a hard thing to resist it. The love for junk food is not just common in children but adults find it very difficult to stay away from it too.

However, it should be clearly noted here that eating junk food is the unhealthiest thing that we can do to our health and fitness. In order to know that are your kids really eating healthier at school, parents have to become more vigilant when it comes to monitoring of their kids’ diet.

This common question that ‘are your kids really eating healthier at school’ is something what almost all parents ponder upon. Even if kids avoid eating junk food in front of their parents they might get the access to it at their schools.

There have been many surveys and books written on this topic of the availability of junk food in school. What parents can do in a situation like this is that they need to instill in their kids that skipping lunch is definitely not a good idea but making it a healthy lunch is what we all can do.

Parents need to talk to school administrations to stop the over availability of junk food at school. Kids usually find it easy and feasible to get a grab on a junk food item rather than sitting and taking out time for fruits and vegetables.

If you are still not sure whether the school is playing their part on the junk food eradication issue then what you can do is that send your kids with a lunch box that has a healthy portion of fruits vegetables and proteins. They might not like it and the lunch box might end up at the table as it is on your table in the evening but, this hard work needs to be put up in order to make sure that are you kids really eating healthier at school.

Heart diseases, diabetes and other very serious issues like obesity have become so common globally that the matter that ‘are your kids really eating healthier at school’ should be thought on a proper and serious scale. Children should be motivated to play outside and avoid as much fast food and junk food as they can. Easier said than done!

Parents should completely stop bringing in junk food stuff at home and unhealthy snacking should be completely avoided in order to ensure that ‘are you kids really eating healthier at school’ and home. Pastries, muffins, burgers, pizzas etc should not be easily available to your kids.

Instead, keep fruity salads, colorful veggie salads with healthy and natural dressings and dairy products that are not fattening for the kids. Parents can be creative while preparing the healthy meals for their kids. You can try out making shapes with colorful vegetables and fruits. Give them healthy shakes with no content of unnatural sugar.

There should be annually two or three interesting sessions in our communities and compounds only for kids in which the importance of eating healthy is the main focus. There can be fun activities that promote healthy eating in such events. Parents should take out time for these events in order to make sure that their kids are on the right path and that is to good health, away from junk food.

The above mentioned steps are a little hard to do but this is the only way we can make the kids get attracted to healthier eating habits and it is solely the duty of the parents to start working on it.

Fake Foods You Are Eating

Fake Foods ,Eating,junk food

Do you know that some of the food items that you eat considering them to be healthy are actually unhealthy? These are all fake foods that only have some unnatural flavors. Foods contain a number of chemicals, artificial flavors and colors that constitue to fakeness. Listed hereunder are some fake food items that you eat on daily basis without knowing the reality behind them.
Chocolate chip cookies:

Most of you like to eat chocolate chip cookies. Cookies whose owners claim to it be chocolaty. A chocolate chip cookie is a red flag. Do you read ingredients on packing of cookies? Why is it called flavored? Every chocolate chip cookie must contain cocoa powder, an essential natural flavor, but instead cheap oils are used as a substitute. It is better to bake your own if you love them otherwise avoid such bakery items.
Caramel Syrup:

Caramel syrup is used in candies, chocolates and many other things.  It may look and taste like the gross approximation of caramel but the reality is that industrial preparation of caramel is much different than the kind you make at home by using a sugar base. In industry sometimes caramel color is processed with ammonia and list of many other chemicals which is not actually caramel.
Canned potatoes:

Sometimes people go for canned potatoes but the fact is that these canned potatoes also come with preservatives, emulsifiers, flavorings and even trans fat. Convince yourself to go only with real fresh potatoes instead of canned.
Juices:

We daily consume juices by considering them healthy and beneficial for our health. But these canned juices are not fresh and healthy as they contain only 2% of concentrated orange, tangerine, apple, lime and grapefruit juice.  Fruit concentrates are basically additional sweeteners that are added as extra flavor. Canned  juices don’t have fresh fruits.
Chocolate milk:

Chocolate milk is regarded as most important and most of mothers feel proud to give it to their kids. Truth is there is likely no milk in chocolate milk. The drink is definitely not to be added to your healthy eating list. Chocolate milk contains high fructose corn syrup, sugar, corn syrup solids and many other ingredients but there is no real liquid milk. Make your own chocolate milk at home by adding cocoa powder in milk.
Cheese slices:

Cheese is one of the healthiest foods that you must add in your diet. But cheese is not part of healthy eating. Most of the cheese slices available in market are full of oil, emulsifiers and fillers. You don’t have to avoid cheese just because processed cheese slices are not healthy. Just make sure to choose a healthy variety of cheese like cottage.

Are you eating these so called healthy foods? Avoid them if you want to stay healthy. While you go out for shopping, you must read labels carefully and make sure that the thing you are going to buy contains only healthy ingredients. Make sure to buy real healthy foods, nothing else.

Dressing your Home in Fragrance

home, fragrance,

Many homeowners focus on keeping their homes clean. They know how to whip a room into shape so that it shines and looks its best for family and friends but sometimes they are stumped when odors spoil the fresh look. If odors are a problem in your home, the following deodorizing tips can help you keep your home smell as good as it looks. The use and choice of fragrance will reflect your style too.
AROMA POWER
Aerosol Sprays:

These come in handy bottles and are great for combating odours, especially in hard to reach areas behind heavy furniture or in corners. Just aim the can, and spray. Remember to always keep the nozzle away from yourself. Or else, point the nozzle towards the ceiling and press it twice or thrice and the aroma will get dispersed across the room.
Blocks:

They give out constant fragrance and are suitable for bathrooms. They come in net packs or containers (with outlets for perfume dispersal and can be placed inside wardrobes, drawers and on shelves. Some brands also claim to deter insects.
Plug-in diffusers:

Relatively new in the market, these are similar to insect repellents. The perfumed liquid is in a small bottle (essential oils too are used in a similar manner to give off a soothing natural fragrance) and is attached to a plug.  Just plug it in and switch on whenever you feel your room needs to be refreshed. Some diffusers come with a convenient plug which can fit inside both horizontal and vertical electric outlets.
Battery-Operated Diffusers:

These come with refills of liquid fragrance, which is released into the air at set intervals, and are ideal for outdoor get together. Some last up to two months, depending upon the frequency of use.
Incense stickers:

A single stick of Jasmine or rose-scented incense (agar battis and dhoop battis) can work wonders to rid your room of stale smells. Use an agarbatti stand, there are several new designs in the market now. Make sure there are no inflammable materials or carpeting underneath. Also, the windows should remain open to let the fumes out. Incense may get too over powering so you may wish to limit its use.
Scented candles:

Fragrant oils are added to the liquid wax before it is poured into moulds to make these; so not only do scented candles bring a glow to the indoors, they give out a pleasing perfume as well. But make sure you buy quality candles or else, the smell is barely discernible and ''finishes'' off in a few minutes.
NATURAL ALTERNATIVES
Fresh flowers:

You can float Rose petals, Champa, Motia and jasmine in shallow containers filled with water or just heap them up in flat plates. Change flowers often to keep them fresh and sweet smelling.
Citrus fruits, spices:

Cut a few pieces of orange and lemon with the peel, add a few cloves and basil, and simmer on your gas stove to combat strong cooking odors.
Potpourri:

This soothing mix of dried flowers, spices and herbs with essential oil drops has a calming effect. You can place it in fancy containers in bathrooms, bedrooms and living rooms. Placed in pouches, potpourri can also sit inside cupboards. Ideally, you need to replenish the essential oil (put in 8-10 drops and mix well) once a month.

With little diligence you can make your home look clean and smell pleasantly fresh too! A fresh smelling home will enhance your living in the house and will be very inviting for all your guests.

makeup,makeover,trend,bold make up

So ladies, be sure to try something extra bold this season. Here's a list of those bold one's you definitely ought to give a shot:
1. The seductive smokey eye:

The traditional trend of the all black smokey eyes have transformed this season into shades of bold purple, blue or turquoise. Try out the latest Urban Decay smoked shadow palette for this season.
2. The era of purple:

This season, women are going purple not just on the eyes but also on the lips! Yes, you read it right. Purple lips are the in vogue trend to try this season. It is bold and stands out for all those fashionistas looking for a loud change this season. Try out Palace Pedigreed or Fig from MAC.
3. Those bold brows:

In all of this year's Spring/Summer fashion weeks, a rather unique trend which goes back to the 70's perhaps was depicted, the bold eyebrows. Another daunting yet unique enough trend to try this season would be the boldness in your eyebrows. Highlight and define them with shades of dark brown, gold or black this season.
4. Pout loud with those crimson lips:

Highlighting your lips with the scarlet/crimson shade had been quite out of sight for a fairly long time. But ladies, it is back with a bang this season! Outline your lips with the your darkest shade of red and then fill in the lips for a fuller look. Go for all shades of bold reddish pink you can find in your cosmetic stores.
5. Soft smudged eyeliner:

Want those eyes to speak loud and clear? Go for the smudged eyeliner look. It is bold enough to carry itself without any lip color or a light one if you cannot simply live without any makeup on your lips. Paired with a subtle shade on your cheeks, the bold smudged eyeliner can paired with platinum eyebrows is the perfect look for events and parties this season.
6. Flicker those lush lashes:

Curled up and bold eyelashes lit up with heaps of mascara are also bold enough to hold the eye standing out without any eyeliner or eye shade. A little bit of white eyeliner to go with it would be just about the perfect bold trend this season.
7. Green on nails paired with blue eyes:

Another bold makeup trend this season would be to try out the darkest shade of green on your nails preferably with blue nail art paired with bright blue shades on your eyelid!
8. White nails:

Make up the best fashion statement with white nails bold enough to shut everyone up and have the crowd turning heads this season.
9. Peachy cheeks:

Try out some bronzer all over your face including forehead, chin and lower jaw line just after your perfectly matched skin tone foundation. Pair all this up with highlighted peachy cheeks for a bold finish.
10. Vamp up your style:

This would call for a hybrid of maroon and black on your face typically highlighting the eyes and lips. With all the twilight, vampire diaries and other fictional vamping up going on and around in the media these days, this look has got to be the one for all those vampire lovers. Hold it out, bold and beautiful and elegantly scare your fans!

Be sure to try out all these makeup trend but do not go overboard with any cosmetic because once you cross that decent line any makeup will have a false effect on your face causing you to look fake as ever.

Therefore, no matter how bold the makeup is that you plan on wearing, try to keep it a bit below the line and hit only the spots you wish to define best. Remember, one spot at a time! Enjoy the look ladies

Better Napping Age By Age

napping,better napping ,age
Grumpiness, laziness, illness may be a sign that your baby is not taking better nap. Many parents don’t know how much sleep does a baby need, How many naps should their child take and for how much hours their child should sleep in night. Every child have different period of time of napping age by age. Here I am sharing total time period of sleep and nap your child should take according to his/ her age as well as giving you some tips of better napping for your child.
1-New born to Two months:

Their total requirement of sleep is 16-18 hours in which 8-9 hours night time sleep and 7-9 hours nap (in which total number of naps should be 3-5)

For their better napping and sleep you should make them wake after 2 to 4 hour of interval to give them feed as new born sleep well when their tummy are full.

As new born don’t know how to sooth themselves for better sleep. So, you should help them with different tricks like using a soother/ pacifier, breastfeeding, swaddling and rocking.

On and off check your child’s pamper and change it if it is full of pee or poop. Turn them during sleep to sooths them more.

2-Two to Four months:

Their total requirement of sleep is 14-16 hours in which 9-10 hours night time sleep and 4-5 hours nap (in which total number of naps should be 3)

To make good sleeping routine at this age; play with your child and expose a lot of sunlight in day time.

Give your baby a bath and tummy full feed before sleep. This can help your baby to take longer stretches of sleep throughout the night.

3-Four to Six months:

Their total requirement of sleep is 14-15 hours in which 10 hours night time sleep and 4-5 hours nap (in which total number of naps should be 2-3)

Usually at this age babies quit their night time feeding and sleep whole night. But it is not necessary as some babies do so when they reach to month of nine. You may sing lovely lullaby along with light pat to make your baby sleep for long time in night.

4-Six to Nine months:

Their total requirement of sleep is 14 hours in which 10-11 hours night time sleep and 3-4 hours nap (in which total number of naps should be 2)
5-Nine to Twelve months:

Their total requirement of sleep is 14 hours in which 10-12 hours night time sleep and 2-3 hours nap (in which total number of naps should be 2)

For six to twelve month of age as baby starts to crawl, night time massage and soothing lullaby help them to sleep properly.

6-Twelve to Eighteen months:

Their total requirement of sleep is 13-14 hours in which 11-12 hours night time sleep and 2-3 hours nap (in which total number of naps should be 1-2)
7-Eighteen months to Two years:

Their total requirement of sleep is 13-14 hours in which 11 hours night time sleep and 2 hours nap.
8-Two to Three years Five years:
