Shanzay Hayat wins Diamond Design’s Miss Pakistan World 2013

Twenty Three years old Shanzay Hayat Miss Pakistan World 2013, won 3 more sub-titles Miss Popularity 2013, Miss Talent 2013 and Miss Perfect 10. Hayat got the most online votes which got her the Popularity title and then in earlier rounds, she performed the best talent a belly dancing routine and finally the title for the best body.  Hayat will be representing Pakistan in international pageants.

Shanzay Hayat beat out seven other contestants to take away the Miss Pakistan World crown. Hayat said, “I want to shed a positive light and show the world, there’s more to Pakistan then what is portrayed on the media.” Hayat would be representing Pakistan in the Miss Earth 2013 pageant.

Shanzay Hayat was born in Islamabad, Pakistan on January 12, 1990. She has lived all around the world and finally settled in New York City, USA as her residence.

At the 11th annual beauty pageant, renowned Pakistan actor Naumaan Ijaz was the chief guest to crown the winners.

Meera wearing Abaya celebrated Hijab Day

Meera spent around 120 minutes in Abaya to mark World Hijab Day in an event. Several Muslim countries celebrate the World Hijab Day every year on September 4 including Pakistan.

Meera says that wearing Abaya is a part of our Islamic culture and Muslim women should try to follow it.

The event was attended by several others models, but it was Meera who snatched focus of the media while entering in an Abaya. The other models also displayed some beautiful designs of latest and trendy Abayas to promote Abaya culture but Meera took all the limelight of the event.

According to Express News, the participants of an event to mark the day in Punjab Governor House were shaken when they saw Meera wearing an Abaya.

Meera set to star in Pashto Film

During an interview, producer of the film Shahid Khan said that the film has a national focus, unlike most Pashto films which frequently restrict themselves to audiences from the province.

“Meera” agreed to work on the project, despite having other offers of regional films,” said Khan.

Muhammad Kamal Pasha penned the story, Saeed Tehkali worked on the dialogues and Tahseen Khan has been tasked the camera work of the film. Khan said it’s a fact that many actors were now acting in Pashto films. Other famous artists have appeared in Pashto films included Veena and Khushbu.

“The film will prove to be a milestone for the Pakistani film industry,” he said, adding that it was great that mainstream actors were now expressing an interest to act in Pashto films.
